Lenovo ThinkPad X200

The Lenovo ThinkPad X200 is a good balance and the ability to function without the lesser-used functions, such as optical and FireWire drive to reduce body weight. This model is equipped with the new Montevina Intel Core 2 Duo 2.40GHz processor and P8600 Vista runs without hitch. It should be in class ultraportable laptop (about 3 pounds), but the performance is similar to other major Thinkpads. High resolution 1280 x 800 LCD bonus is better than x61.Get 9 or 6 cell battery, if you would like more than 2 hours' use, but adds that the course-to-weight ratio.
