In the Ironman movie, Stark(Robert Downey Jr,) is a brilliant engineer who has made billions from building weapons. Stark has a friendly robot to help him build his armour. From the science world, the robots looks too clever to be true, but in fact it is highly reminiscent of AUR. The clip below shows AUR- a cross between a desklamp and a robotic arm. Guy Hoffman of the Robotic Life research group in MIT's Media Lab built it as part of his PhD thesis.
